In the world of website design, there is the term parallax that shows up from time to time and each time the term can actually mean something different.

Within the Semantic Enjin theming system, the term parallax is used to refer to a specific aesthetic for displaying enjin block background image content. Basically the background for a given block is fixed in position to the page while the block content can be scrolled freely.
