This post is actually just like any other page within Go-Enjin. The only difference is that the archetypes
page property has been set to blog
.
Go-Enjin uses the archetype property to lookup alternate templates to use to present the content. For example on go-enjin.org: the blog archetype template includes the page's created and last modified properties, as well as a custom author
property.
This blog page has a permalink set. Permalinks are a way of being able to print or otherwise distribute a given link and regardless of the page's content, title or even URL path changing - the permalink is permanently valid (well, at least until the page is deleted).
The list of links below are all valid because of the permalink enjin feature.
As you may have noticed, as long as there's the dash and random bits at the end of any url, or just the random bits (long or short form), the link will always redirect to the current page's actual permalink URL path.
There is another form of link, the redirect. This blog page has a URL path set with the .Redirect front-matter context key. Clicking the following link will redirect the visitor back to this page (without any permalink). While this is not a permalink-specific feature, this page is a good place to demonstrate this core enjin feature.
